## Known pitfalls, handle each one explicitly in your implementation
1. Timezone mismatches can cause missed birthdays so explicitly convert all dates to UTC before comparison.
2. Telegram bot tokens must be stored as secrets rather than hardcoded in the script to prevent leakage.
